Handcrafted by Anatolian craftsmen, this is a replica of an 18-19th century Ottoman cavalry stirrup (üzengi) of characteristic form. It is made of brass with a curved base plate, flanked by flat sides rising to an arch and finishing with a loop, decorated in openwork with typical Ottoman neo-rococo style motifs. The base plate is cut in an elaborate cartouche surrounded by acanthus scrolls.
