Frederick Courteney Selous' narrative of his eleven years spent travelling and work in South East Africa, particular on the Zambesi and its tributaries.
Selous was an incredibly revered explorer, hunter, and conservationist. His adventures in Africa inspired the author H. Rider Haggard as he was writing the character Allan Quatermain.

CONDITION
In a cloth binding, rebound with a panel of the original publisher's cloth restored to the front board, with new endpapers. Externally, smart, with some minor marks. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some spots.
